License conversions

We can convert your ICAO licenses, this can be an FAA, SA, or from any ICAO state of the world - to a JAR- PPL-H licence

Requirements for conversion:

You have to have 100 hours of total flying time (TT) this includes also your training hours towards your PPL-H valid PPL licence and a valid medical class 2 (JAR).

than

You have to do 2 written tests:

  • Human Factors and Perfomance, and
  • Air Navigation Law

If you don’t have the 100 h of total flight time, there will be the requirement, that you have to pass all the 7 written examine.

(we will tell you where to get the books and the questionnaire) to pass a check ride (we will tell you the requirements). When you passed this examines you will get a PPL-JAR licence issued by the CAA (UK Flight authorities) Which will be valued in more than 30 countries.

Based on this licence the FAA (US authorities) will also issue a FAA – PPL licence.

Costs:

  • Booking fee: 100.-€
  • Training on one of your helicopters – see rental costs (This depends a bit on your training level - if you are ok. We will just do a 2 h preparation and familiarisation flight - than you can go for the fight test, otherwise you have to do some additional training.)
  • instructor: 55.-€/h
  • 2 written examines: 50.-€ each
  • 1 Flight test: 200.-€ (examiner fee)

The CAA will charge you about 150 pounds for issuing the licence.
